I took my first Alexander Technique lesson in 1986. Shortly after the lessons began, I was in a car accident. With the help of my Alexander Technique teacher, I recovered from the accident at an incredible rate and returned to work as a dancer, which convinced me of the effectiveness of the technique.

I started my teacher training in 1992, looking for new perspectives to my own dancing and teaching. After qualifying as a teacher, I have taught the technique to dancers, musicians and many other practitioners. ​

I became acquainted with the Alexander Technique in the early 1990s during my university studies, and was mainly interested in its pedagogical potential. However, I soon realised that I was faced with the most profound and comprehensive learning process of my life, which I could not delve into without being transformed myself.

After qualifying, I have taught the Alexander Technique in Brussels, Paris and Helsinki. In addition to private teaching, I have worked as an assistant in teacher training courses in Tampere and Brussels.

I received my first Alexander lesson in 1992 as a gift. The experience was transformative; I became tall, rooted, light and focused. A couple of years later I started taking private lessons, and finally started my Alexander Technique teacher training in London, qualifying in 2000.

After qualifying, I have taught the Alexander Technique in two teacher training courses in England, and then continued giving private lessons in Finland, e.g. to horse-riders, musicians and eurythmists.​
